Villa Margherita is located in an extremely quiet and pleasant area, just a few minutes from the centre of Aurisina, in the Trieste Karst. Many Trieste residents live in this area because it is quiet, far from the hustle and bustle, cool and surrounded by greenery. It is also perfect for organising bike rides or walks to explore the Karst, the caves and the wonderful views of the sea.

The villa was built in the 1970s and has two floors: your flat is on the first floor, accessible via an external staircase, and has three bedrooms (two double and one with bunk beds), a kitchen with washing machine, a large living room and a spacious terrace.

The villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden, lovingly tended by the owners, enclosed by a low wall and equipped with a gate. Two deckchairs and a hammock are available for our guests to enjoy a truly relaxing holiday!

The apartment, entirely reserved for guests, is located at the first floor of a '70s villa. You have to do some stairs to do reach the accomodation.

Common areas are under video surveillance. The access to some areas (music area at ground floor and garage) is reserved to the owners.

The hens are in a fenced area; you must not touch them or bother them. They could make noises at any time. The owners access the area twice a day to feed them.

It is not possible to use the fireplace for safety reasons.

For your children we have a camping cot with sheets (on request) and a comfortable foldable seat to take with you during your stay. Both are subject to availability and must be requested in advance.

-> we ask our guests to close the shutters and windows when leaving the house and also in the case of bad weather (wind, storm, etc.). Any damage caused by non-observance of these rules will be charged to the guests.
-> We point out to our guests that it is not allowed to move furniture or remove objects in the flat without prior permission.
-> we ask our guests to ventilate all rooms daily, opening windows.

🕒 Check-in time: from 3 p.m.
Early check-in is possible upon request and subject to availability and must be agreed in advance.

Instructions for accessing the flat will be available in the booking details from the day before arrival.

👉 We ask you to provide us with a valid telephone number and to notify us of any changes to your arrival time.

📄 Documents & tourist tax
At check-in, each guest must present a valid ID (identity card, passport or driving licence).

The tourist tax is €0.90 per person per night, for a maximum of 7 nights.
The following are exempt from payment: minors, residents and AIRE registrants.

🌿 DURING YOUR STAY

Our goal is to offer you a comfortable and carefree stay.
If during your stay something does not work or is not to your liking, please contact us immediately: our staff will be happy to help you.

🏠 Please remember that you are staying in a private property:

Please respect the quiet hours from 22:00 to 07:00 and 13:00 to 16:00.

In winter, please keep the temperature below 20°C, and in summer, above 23°C.

Do not leave personal belongings (suitcases, bicycles, etc.) in the common areas.

🚭 Smoking is prohibited inside the flat.
A penalty of £100 will be applied in case of violation.

🎉 Parties and access to unregistered guests are not permitted.

Before leaving the flat, we kindly ask you to:

Check that you have not left any personal items behind (especially chargers 😉)

Turn off lights, appliances and devices

Dispose of rubbish

Villa Margherita is located in a residential area full of villas and houses on the Karst plateau, very green and quiet. In few minutes by feet or by bus you can reach the center of Aurisina, where you will find all the services such as supermarket, post office, bank. Just crossing the road you will reach the bus stop (line 43 to Sistiana and Duino, lines 44 and 46 to Trieste).

The surroundings are dotted with renowned farmhouses and the famous "osmizze", where the inhabitants spend their free time with friends, eating and drinking happily. In the surroundings there are also several farms that produce the best local wine, with very renowned labels including Zidarich, Colja, Kante. Our advice is to let the managers guide you to discover the local flavors: they will show you the best combinations for Vitovska, Ribolla and Terrano (also called "the blood of the Karst") wines. The Bunker Brewery is also very famous: you can have excellent beers selected with passion and attention by the managers.

It is possible to organize many excursions on the Karst area; there are also many caves, some of which can be visited. By car you can easily reach the panoramic Sentiero della Salvia and the Tiziana Weiss lookout, the beaches of Canovella, Le Ginestre, Portopiccolo Resort and Sistiana, and of course Trieste.

During your stay you may meet the owners Mauro and Serena taking care of the garden and the chickens. They will be able to give you other tips to fully enjoy your holiday!


It is not possible to park inside the gate. However, it is possible to park for free in the free area in front of the gate, where the garbage bins are also located. There is a free parking area also 100 meters far from the villa continuing along the road.

Crossing the road you can reach the bus stop with lines 43 for Sistiana and Duino, 44 ​​and 46 for Trieste. On the Trieste Trasporti website you can organize your route!

If you are passionate about cycling, this is the perfect place for you! It is very easy to reach the beaches and other nearby attractions; along the numerous paths you will find breathtaking views of the sea!
