When the sea is a house wall, not many words are needed. In this cozy apartment in Santa Croce, the sea enters overbearingly: so brilliant that it mesmerises on sunny days, so haunting and frothy on rainy days.

You can enjoy the cool summer silence on the splendid terrace or sip hot tea on the armchairs overlooking the Gulf. All around you, all the rugged and proud beauty of the Carso.

The apartment is a studio of about 50sqm renovated with high-quality materials, located along the road connecting Santa Croce with the Coastal Road. Inside you will find a spectacular living area overlooking the Gulf, a double bed, a kitchen complete with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven and small appliances (Illy coffee machine and kettle) and everything you need for cooking, as well as a bathroom with shower and washing machine.

The outdoor terrace is furnished with chairs and table for outdoor dining. Air conditioning/heat pump and wifi available for guests.

The apartment, which is entirely reserved for guests, is located on the ground floor of a small building.

** We do not recommend using a navigator to reach the apartment ** Follow these directions:
From the motorway exit of Monfalcone (E70) follow the directions to Sistiana, and from Sistiana to Trieste centre. You will find yourself on the beautiful and scenic Coastal Road (SS14-SR14).

After about 5km you will come to the junction for the OGS (Oceanography Centre). Take the road that goes up on the left. It is a little steep but will take you directly to the flat. Continue uphill for about 1.5km.

You will find the gate with the number 379 on the right as you go uphill. A little further up, again on the right, is a large space suitable for parking cars, motorbikes and campers.
If you are coming from the city centre, on the other hand, take the Strada Costiera as far as Miramare Castle and then follow the signs for Sistiana for about 7.5km. The uphill road will be on your right-hand side, opposite the sign for the OGS.
You will have to take stairs to access the apartment.

The terrace area is exposed to a flight of steps leading to the lower floor; you may meet the owners or other guests. Maintain a respectful and polite attitude, a smile and a greeting are the best calling card!

To avoid sudden flooding always close the green shutters when you leave the house.

Early check-in is possible upon request and subject to availability and must be agreed in advance.

Instructions for accessing the flat will be available in the booking details from the day before arrival.

📄 Documents & tourist tax
Before check-in, each guest must present a valid identity document (ID card, passport or driving licence).

The tourist tax is €3.00 per person per night, for a maximum of 5 nights.
The following are exempt from payment: minors, residents and those registered with AIRE.

Please respect the quiet hours from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In winter, keep the temperature at a maximum of 20°C, in summer at a minimum of 23°C.

Do not leave personal items (suitcases, bicycles, etc.) in the common areas.

🚭 Smoking is prohibited inside the flat.
In case of violation, a penalty of €100 will be applied.

🎉 Parties and access to unregistered guests are not permitted.

For the safety of guests, the fireplace cannot be used.

Check that you have not forgotten any personal items (especially chargers 😉)

Just a few steps from the apartment is the entrance to the Sentiero della Salvia (Sage Path) (Tiziana Weiss Path), one of the most scenic yet little-known paths on the Karst ridge. The path is very easy (a pair of trainers will suffice), also suitable for bicycles and is incredibly sheltered from the wind: so you can admire the Gulf in any season! (ps: in autumn the Karst is tinged with a thousand colours and in our opinion is the best season for hiking)!

Descending along the main road you will instead reach the long and scenic Coastal Road, along which there are numerous beaches and bathing establishments (including Canovella, Le Ginestre, the Portopiccolo complex, Sistiana and Barcola). Some beaches are hidden or only accessible via long stairways: are you ready for adventure?

If you go up the main road you will reach the centre of Santa Croce, where you will find all the services including a cash machine, supermarket and pharmacy, as well as numerous interesting restaurants and pubs! Moving on to the Carso area you may end up in an osmizza, a real tradition you must try!
